If your moving involves the sale of unwanted furniture pack up your wanted treasured items and store them on a temporary basis in a Self Storage Unit for easy removal. There is bound to be a facility for public storage in an area near you. Google it. This solution also has a secondary advantage. For example, I remember when I was moving interstate I held a Garage Sale of my unwanted items. Naturally it was raining and as I was not the proud owner of a garage, I could not hold the sale outside. As a result a number of people who came into my house asked to buy my wanted treasures. I said no, not for sale. They then bought nothing. A little lesson here. By storing your items offsite it is also an out of sight out of mind process.
You have now finished the packing up of your wanted items, you have discarded, given away or sold your smaller unwanted items and what your are taking with you is packed and ready to go to its new abode. Your house is freed up for cleaning and the selling of your larger items, i.e. your unwanted furniture. You are so organized. The result is that your house is cleaned, de-cluttered and spacious, geared up for the tender ministrations of the real estate agents to carry out your instructions to either rent or sell your property. The first part of your relocation process is now complete.
